  • Fit not frumpy conference.

    The Society of Shoe fitters and the Healthy Footwear guide held their first ever joint conference at The University of Northampton on Monday 19th September 2016. The event attracted approximately 80 delegates and considered the importance of shoe fit. Recent research was presented which supported the need for shoe fitting, provided guidance to inform the shoe fitting process and to offer some insights into developmental work in the footwear industry.   • Foot health 2016 at Kettering Conference Centre.

    The HFG was represented at the Foot Health 2016 Conference through its chair Dr Mike Curran. Dr Curran spoke about the formation of the group, its current role and how it hopes to progress in the coming years.

    There were several companies who form part of the HFG at the conference and some of these provided HFG leaflets to delegates.

    The talk was well recieved by the audience and raised awareness of the HFG.
